I started singing from the age of 10, and song writing from the age of 15. At 19 I had my first publishing deal with International Music Group (IMG).

It was at this time, I realized that I wanted to be a singer songwriter, and whatever it took, I was determined that I was going to make it!! My first ever gig performing was a track that I had written, and I had managed to get on the Capital Radio PA circuit – It was at the Hippodrome, Leicester Square, on a packed Saturday night in London….. I remember standing at the side of the stage, waiting to go on, and my nerves were in pieces, but I thought to myself – this is it!! If I can do this, I can do anything!! And so on I went – the crowd were fantastic, and it was the most electrifying night – I loved every second, and from that point onwards, there was no turning back.

After spending years (and I mean years!!) calling companies, and knock back after knock back, I finally got a chance – At the age of 23 I was signed to Simon Cowell and RCA records, to front a summer song “Ritmo De La Noche” which had great exposure throughout Europe. Unfortunately, in the event of Princess Diana’s fatal accident I gave my lottery performance slot to Sir Elton John whom then performed the famous “Candle In The Wind”.

I left RCA records, and recorded five singles under the name DEVORAH with Rumour Records, having 3 tracks in the top 5 ‘Pop Chart’ listings, with releases of “Bittersweet Symphony” and “Song 2”. In 1998, I decided to expand on my direction in my career at this point, to learn more about the industry as a whole, and went into Management. The act I took on, “Point Break” signed to Warner music, and went on to sell in excess of 200,000 albums worldwide, and had 5 top twenty hit singles, and a top twenty album in the UK alone, co-written by myself. The album had great exposure worldwide, with one of the songs being used for an advert in Japan – where we also sold 100,000 albums, and broke into their domestic charts, almost impossible for a new act not from their territory. One of the members decided to leave in December 2000, and at this point, we decided to set up a band called VelvetStone with everyone that I trusted – including one of the members of Point Break – Ollie, who fronted VelvetStone with me – the band were all professional musicians, and connected for years. It was a strong team, and was the strongest of groups – we got offered a few interesting deals at the time, but with my foresight into the industry, I decided to take a step back from the band, and to manage it myself. This band we renamed “Freefaller”, and went on to have had a 3 UK top 40 hits, and a 1 UK number 8 “Do This Do That”, all tracks co-written by myself.

In 2000, I was contacted by my former producer for “Ritmo De La Noche” – Rohan Heath, who was also the man behind the nineties dance sensation Urban Cooke Collective – Their main hit was a song called “The Key The Secret” which reached the number 1 slot worldwide! At this time, he asked me to front the group, which I took with open arms – that kept me busy for 23 years. I left in October 2023 and was offered the lead singer for The Tamperer with their number 1 90s hit “Feel It”. All of this has given me the opportunity to travel the world and sing in front of hundreds of thousands of people, working alongside my peers such as Rozalla, N-Trance, Alex Party, Baby D, and so many more!! Too many to name. What a fantastic job I have!! I have now come fiull circle, and am releasing a new track through Energise Records, where I am happiest, and surrounded by the people I love the most.

Throughout the years, I have worked with many amazing dance producers, including the Ruff Drivers, whose song “Don’t Stop” I fronted for them on stage in Scotland at Hogmanay, Live on Radio1 – that is, and always will be one of the best gigs of my life! The energy, and the sights I experienced that night, were out of this world!

I believe that anything is possible, and from someone who started in this industry knowing nobody, and have no idea what to do, I have developed into doing something I love, and am very proud of. I am one luck girl. I have met some fantastic people who I am still working alongside, and I’m so proud that they are in my life, and not only are they my friends in the industry and look out for me, they have become my personal friends too, and I love and respect them. I have been lucky enough to see the world doing my job. Music is my life, and my life will always be written in my music. To believe is to achieve, and this is only the beginning!!!
